This is the second painting in a series of barns that I plan to do. I love the country. I am a country boy at heart. Sometimes I love to go on a drive through rural areas, taking roads that I have never been down before just to see what I can see. My favorite part of these adventures is to see very old barns that are usually half covered by untended vegetation. Unfortunately, many of these barns are disappearing every year. I want to help preserve some of these old structures first by finding them, then photographing them and then painting them. I’m afraid one day that these old barns will be a thing of the past.
